Do you set your hard drives to always on in the windows power scheme?

If you don't, this is something that can cause them to lock up resulting in bsod and not being able to see them in bios upon reboot.

I'd go with the Corsair Force GT over both of those. They all use the same controller, but I trust corsair's customer service and RMA department over the other two.

Since Sandforce keeps saying that the problem with the drive has to do with the controller it's connected to, if you are unlucky enough to get the bsod bug, you can RMA 10,000 times and not solve the problem.

All I am saying is that I prefer Corsair as a brand over Kingston and OCZ. And that they have a superior RMA department, not that the OP would have to RMA his drive. But like you said there is a known BSOD issue with the sandfocre SF-2281 drives and if you are unlucky enough to have it effect you, it would happen with any brand. I'm just saying corsair might be easier to deal with IF you had a problem.

Corsair is indeed one of the best to deal with for warranty issues.

All I am saying is that warranty will not help solve the issues. So best not to buy in the first place.

I would go with the M4 from Crucial if it were me. With the new 0009 firmware, the 120gb hits about 500r/200w seq.

That being said, being as that's not what you asked... The kingston just came out recently, but I haven't heard any red flags about them. Being as the main problems have to do with the Sandforce controller, they will both be about the same probably. Go with whichever you think is a more reputable company. Of the two, I'd go with Kingston personally.

I do like the idea of the Corsair Gt. I always liked it when companies have their own official support forums with actually employees posting in them. And based on a few reviews I just looked at for the GT drive its pretty darn good, on par with the OCZ and Kingston drive. And I can get the GT drive for $200 which is about $50 less then the OCZ or Kingston. I may get the GT drive...

I got the Corsair Force Gt 120GB for $220 shipped. I sold my C300 already for $120. So it cost me $100 for the GT. I know the Ocz and Kingston were probably a tad bit faster, but like some have said, Corsair's customer support is bar none. And I work with someone who's wife works their so if I ever really really have a problem, you know what they say, its not what you know its who you know :-)
