my resarch into the BD boards yields this:

http://www.hardocp.com/article/2011/07/12/gigabyte_990fxaud7_motherboard_review/7
http://www.hardocp.com/article/2011/06/07/asus_sabertooth_990fx_motherboard_review/6
http://www.hardocp.com/article/2011/06/01/msi_990fxagd80_990fx_chipset_motherboard_review/7

so however ugly the sabertooth is it appears that it will OC best... of course its hard to say definetly as there are no BDs to test it but as far as phenoms go the sabertooth won.

New egg reviews are not worth looking at. There is a high percentage of people who feel because they know what a hyper-transport is they have high technical experience for a specific item. When in reality they are a beginner

They are both good boards go with your gut you won't be disappointed

Don't know if you're still looking, but my UD5 is great. The SB went out on my first one, but it could be the Cosmos S had a bad front panel. It worked great until a few hours after I put it in the new case and the front panel is still problematic. Anyways.

The heat sinks seem to work really well, my NB and other (as yet unknown) temps hang around 36~40. Never seen them go over 40 and that's with 1 240 Rad blowing from the bottom of the case and 1 360 blowing down directly on them (both in push pull), that does include the mesh side panel which I'm sure relieves a lot of heat. A lot of people reported Vdroop problems (which appears to be a spec for AM3+), but my Vcore set at 1.575 shows as 1.616 most of the time. (Running the F5 bios). Another + (if you use a large heat sink) is the RAM will go in the 2 and 4 slots (starting from the processor) if you only have 2 sticks. Also be aware the UD5's top PCIe 1x slot is almost useless because of the NB heat sink. The PCIe x16's are well thought out though. The 2 full time x16 slots are spaced well for dual slot cards/water cooling. And of course sleep and charge is uber nice!
Hope this helps.smile.gif

I just went CH-V
the dealbreaker between UD7 and CH-V was the price...

both are SHMEXY!
both get good reviews

ROG has its own freaking CPU-Z!!! <--- just shows you the support & extras.

I almost went UD7 due to the classy clean look. $$ talks though

the GA990FXA UD3 board BLOWS! dont even think about buying it! so many problems with stability when overclocking BD CPUs. im seeing tons of people OCing their FX 4100's to 4.6+ on air when i can only manage 4.2 on air. not sure if theyre just BSing everyone or what but i dont buy it. go with the Crosshair V for which you will have much better stability no matter the CPU architecture.

ive been using gigabyte board for life and what can i say they are the one who first innovate boards from normal to solid capacitors! and when it terms in durability? no one will never be disappointed with gigabyte boards. i have been using asus before and it gives me problem for about 2 years or so and im reading a lot of problem with asus boards than gigabyte maybe some owner of asus just got lucky to have no experiencing problem with asus but gigabyte boards last for more than 6-10 years. my 3rd gigabyte board when im still using core2duo lasted for 10 years. now im using fx-8350 with 990fxa-ud3 for my board and its doing great. and its a lot cheaper too. well this is based on my experience so there might be a different exp. with other people though. here are the link for specs just to compare both boards. http://motherboard.findthebest.com/compare/34-590/ASUS-Crosshair-IV-Formula-vs-Gigabyte-GA-990FXA-UD3
