Dram Freq Auto

Hey Ocn,

I have some 4GB 800Mhz Geil memory and never really bothered to change anything in the Bios for it. Its been running for over 2 years with no probs. But I recently got APB Reloaded and get frequent FPS drops from 30-60 to 1-10. This could be cuz the game is very ram heavy and my ram cant handle it fast enough.

Now I was wondering if Dram freq in Bios is on auto it should ramp up to max preformance if it needs it right ? Dunno maybe manually putting it on 800Mhz would stop the FPS drops, but I have no knowledge of this so dunno what I should do.

I doubt your RAM is responsible for you FPS drops. What is the rest of your system comprised of?

Sounds like a GPU or CPU isn't up to snuff. Like MrKrrrinkle mentioned, we'll need what components are in your system, so we can help diagnosis the issue better.

E8500 @ 3.6
GTX 280

Thought could be my ram as when I checked it was getting close to maxing out a few times. Also my fps is usually fine but even when not moving it gets drops.

Been doing some more reading and even people with 990x 580s get FPS drops, its just the game having troubles but they havnt fixed it yet.
