Appraisal: X800 Pro 256mb Agp

Thread Starter
X800 PRO, 256MB, AGP, overclocks to 525 / 580 (stable) -- up to 545 / 615 (pretty much a suicide).

It is a good overclocker even though it is all stock. It stays pretty cool, and is a great performer.

I've never had any problems with it.

I have a figure in mind.

Honest opinions, what is a fair price to ask?

$120

A x1600xt goes for a little less, and a 7600gt goes for a little more....and performance wise, it floats between them

Im wondering, have you ever looked into flashing this card? I bought my card as an x800 pro with 12 pipelines, and I was able to flash it to an x800xt PE with all 16 pipes. Just wondering if you've looked into it? because if you sell it as an xt PE (and I mean it has to work IDENTICAL to the XT PE or else it would be pretty sleazy to sell it as one) you would make quite a bit more money off it.

Yes, and thanks, but I looked into it and everyone said it couldn't be flashed, so I never tried it. Something about a code in ATiTool that wasn't right for it to be flashed.

Yeah, the regular stores are really expensive here too. There was a 30% going out of business sale at a CompUSA, and the prices were still way more expensive than Newegg.

After a few investigations into the X800, I see that new ones are selling for the ballpark amount of $140-ish. Used, but stable overclocked would be around the range of $100-ish, so long as it stays at a minimal core temp. Give it a stress test, give your results, and if they're good, ask about $100 for it.
