Asus VE258Q - Good for gaming?

The monitor is the Asus VE258Q.
Is this good for gaming? Here is a link to the specs. On the Asus website it is described at "multimedia"

Edit, it's a wide screen as well. I heard that wde monitors are not good for gaming, but is that at all true?
