i have never had any other sound card except for this one so i can't really compare it. although the Auzentech Hometheater HD is the best Home theater card you can get I don't game very much, just listening to music and watching movies

Read article, still don't see the point of it unless as mentioned, it's fancy marketing talk for a rebrand. Audio requires very little processing.
