$151 later...

So I had my mind set on a Galant... drove 70 miles and was not too thrilled. I priced out this $286 set up... Helmer drawers were poop. Not the quality I expected...

I'm happy the way this looks, but not too impressed with the material. I found out after I drilled holes in the table top.

Seems like the Vika Curry is gone and is now the Vika Adils.

I think I walked out $151 flat.

I'll get more pics of the room later. Need to clear some stuff out. Just had someone leave and go back to school. So I got my office back. -.-...

Bought some more stuff...

I've been looking into doing an office table just like this.. Would you say that the level of the extra shelf with the monitors on it is too high? It looks to be a bit high, but maybe it's just pictures.

Ikea is the closest thing on earth to hell. They need more bathrooms!

Your desk turned out nice, its always better to custom build something like this, now you need a cable management manifold.

My best friend passed away in 09' and it was one I traded him stuff for. I'd hate to part with it so it's sitting here. I'm a partial hoarder when it comes to sentimental stuff.

Kind of high. But it's not bad. I raised my chair. It won't tuck under the desk, but I'm find with that...

http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/pr...538#/20054563/

This can get you 2" lower... But I liked the idea of mounting the brackets down... They won't move. I didn't like the idea of the Capita Leg sliding around...

Top of the desk: 28.5"
Top of the monitor stand: 36" ish... I eyeballed it.

The brackets are a tab over 6" and the shelf is 1" thick... So add 7" to 28.5. Eye level with my chair at it's highest level... I'm a little under center of the monitor. Top of my chair is 21.5"... I'll probably get a new chair since it's a mammoth. I just got it back from my parents house. I used to love my chair... but I don't think it's the same after they used it.
