Best GPU for Sugo SG05? - Page 4

The STF450 will work with the 570.

570 draws 35Amps on the 12v rail and the PSU has a rating of 36 Amps. Close but it does fit within specs.

Nice job stealthy. Looks like you found the best gpu that fits (w/o modding) and I can't afford it.

Sweet.

Nice deal, but that card's over 10.5" and would require case mods.

I've gone ahead and ordered EVGA's 2gb 560 ti. Planning to overclock it to 950 or so.

Or, you know, the EVGA 570. Which you'd know if you'd have bothered reading the thread before replying.

Just want to clarify that under no circumstances does a 570 draw 35 amps on the 12v rail. That's 420 watts, which far exceeds the 300w combined rating of the PCIe slot and PCIe power connectors.

The actual power draw of the 570 is more like 200w (typical gaming) to 275w (full stress). I assume the 35a @ 12v number is the manufacturer recommended minimum PSU rating (not gonna bother looking it up), which has to take into account the power draw from the rest of the system and overrated/poor quality PSUs.

gtx 570 HD would fit without modding (though it is loud)

Sorry, I should've stated those were the numbers for an entire system. And an ATX system at that. I look at this sometimes for a rough idea on power. They give values for the entire system. redface.gif
