That's probably the best choice considering the games you're playing. Hard to find benchmarks for all of them, but,

Dirt 3: They tie.

F1 2010: Relatively speaking, since the cards are so close, the 6950 smokes the 560 Ti. Ti isn't average 60 fps while the 6950 is. Big advantage for the 6950 here.

Dirt 2: 560 Ti is faster, but both cards are average over 60 fps.

NFS Shift: Well neither card is in this benchmark, but considering a 5870 and GTX 260 are both getting over 60 fps in this game the 560 Ti and 6950 aren't going to break a sweat.

Grid: Well, no benchmarks found 6950/560 but neither card is going to struggle since the game is older and wasn't that demanding.

Hot Pursuit and Shift 2: Can't find any benchmarks comparing different cards.

Yes, but that difference doesn't actually exist in Witcher 2 or BC2.

In the review you linked the 560 got 60fps in BC2 at 1920x1200, and the 6950 got 64. In the Witcher 2 the 560 got 40 and the 6950 got 42.

So why are you trying to cherry pick one or two games to claim the 6950 is way faster? That's not how averages work.
When discussing game benchmarks is more critical to discuss games the OP is actually going to be playing.

The cards are close... except in F1 2010, where the 6950 is a lot faster and will provide a noticeable difference. So far the advantage goes to the 6950.

Great choice, I have a single fan version and it runs cool/quiet/fast.
In the end, like I said earlier unless you play C2 and Heaven then the 6950 is the better choice.

Actually PNY lifetime sucks. Its the lifetime of the product, so for example the GTX 400 series came out last year and are already EOL, and that means the lifetime warranty is gone. And since PNY offer a 1 year as standard, this means that their 1 year is expired also. Very useful right?.. Why the hell would anyone buy PNY over Gigabyte or MSI is beyond me. Their support is terrible.
What you give me facts!?!!?, i cant believe an ati card is faster than a nvidia card
Your a conspiracy theorist!!!!!!

6950, it's just better. Now if you had said 570, there might be more parity
post #98 of 122
6950 for sure ..

gtx570 is more of a direct comparison , 6950 is the faster and better card .

560ti is more like a 6870 .

no way. I've owned a 560ti 1gb, 6950 2gb and a 570 all in a single month. the 560ti and the 6950 were pretty much the exact same in performance give or take 5 frames depending on the game. the 570 is easily faster then the 6950.

the 560ti and 6950 are competitors

570 and the 6970

580 is in a class of it own
