Adjusting RAM settings = no post

Fairly new to OCing so bare with me.

This is my mobo http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128519

It supports up to 2000mhz ram and a 2600FSB

Stock BIOS settings want to put the ram at 1333. Ram is 1866. If I set it to anything above 1600 it fails to post. If I touch the voltage it won't post. If I touch the timings (9-9-9-24) it wont post. FSB is also at 2000 and if I touch that it won't post.

Where do I start?

I don't have any special cooling on the NB, just a stock heat sink. Is it still ok to increase it?

And how much of a bump are we talking about? I knocked it up from 1.105v to 1.11 and still no post.

Here are my STABLE BIOS settings.

cpu clock ratio x15 3000mhz
cpu nb freq x10 2000mhz
cpu freq 200mhz
pcie 100mhz
ht link width 16bit
ht link freq x10 2000mhz
memory clock x8 1600mhz

Voltages:

cpu pll 2.535v
dram 1.51v
ddr vtt .75v
nb 1.105v
ht link 1.21v
nb/pcie/pll 1.81v
cpu vcore 1.325v

DRAM config:

command 1t 9-9-9-24

This is all basically stock except the MOBO set timings at 11-11-11-29 and the memory multiplier at 6.66. Those are the only 2 things I have been able to change and remain stable.

I understand you want to get what you paid for out of your ram but anything other than default settings for memory from my experience just causes corruption

That said though, these are value sticks

So its a problem with the RAM then and not the settings?? I only got it because it said it was 1866.

And you are exactly right, I want to get out of them what it said would deliver. I still have time to send the stuff back as its a new rig. So that option is still available... if that is indeed the problem.
