I'm pretty sure if you are in AHCI, then hot swapping is already enabled (which is why my boot drive shows up shows up in windows "safeley remove hardware" list).

How well does that GTX 680 work in a older motherboard? I have the same Idea to put a 680 in a Sniper 2 but I'm not sure hoe the new gen card would appreciated an older board. I also checked through the EVGA, Gigabyte and MSI sites and found that although the Gigabyte and MSI GPUs have the better cooling designs, the EVGA Classified GTX 680 is the fastest and the highest clocked of them all but it's got a enclosed faring with one small cooler, I was wondering if you'd know about the heat of that card? Very awesome build log sir, love the green and how tidy it is.
