Ducky 9000G2 mixed switches

Thread Starter
I recently got a Ducky 9000G2 with brown switches. I pulled up the spacebar because it was squeeking a little bit and noticed that the spacebar used a black switch and not a brown switch. Is there a reason Ducky decided to do this with their keyboards? I think I would have liked to have the same switches over the entire board.

They did that as typically your thumbs can apply more pressure from the same amount of conscious exertion (I hope that's clear... I'm quite tired), thus they theorize it's more comfortable for the spacebar to possess a heavier switch. Why linear, though? Well, for the same reason; it's far easier to bottom out with the space bar, so why use a tactile switch? Anyway, your keyboard isn't isolated; some batches that went through (and at times, out of) east Asia had all sorts of mixed switches depending on what "main" switch type you got; the space bar could end up with anything from the same switch, to Greens, Clears, Blacks, and Grays. It's anybody's guess, really.

Yep, my MX Brown Ducky got the MX Clear spacebar treatment. I hate it to hell honestly and it ruins my flow entirely.

Filco > Leopold > Gaming brand > Ducky.
Gaming brand are often a scam, Ducky are still worst than them.

Just look at the horrible misalignment

What's the difference between a Ducky and a mallard with a cold? The noise a Ducky makes is spelled "uak."

So you're calling Ducky worse than gaming brands because of "the horrible misalignment"? That's completely ridiculous...

I kind of wish my keyboard had the clear switch Instead of a black just so it would feel like the other keys just with a little more actuation force. Now that I have realized the switch is different it kinda bugs me. Prolly will have to take some getting used to. Does anyone know why they use pad printing on the ducky and filco.
Ducky offers both.

Filco probably because of the Japanese market. It's hard to get this crispness and contrast with Laser.
