So, what do you guys think? Noctua NH-D14 killer?
They sure did a great job copying it, but will it perform better?

Yeah, that's the general discussion and owner thread.
Here I want to strictly compare it to the heatsink they copied

It apparently does outperform it.

And onto the topic of copying...

i wouldnt call it a D14 killer , the word is too strong.

from the reviews i read, it does beat the d14 by about 1 to 2°C when both coolers are using the same fans.

now when you think of it, the D14 was released almost 3 years ago, so imo the D14 has notting to be ashamed of performence wise, none the less the phanteks does beat it and surly looks preety!

edit:
and yes they are copying .

I think it shows how good the noctua is if it took others 3 years and they had to copy it to outperform it

Funny thing is that if you put the same fans on you probably couldn't even tell the difference lol

Also, both with stock fans, which is better? And which is quieter?

And they both dissapoint in my opinion. The silver arrow absolutely fails at higher voltages and this is like 2C better if InFit is correct, which in my opinion is very dissapointing, counting that they had 3 years to copy and improve it.
Maybe this is the best aircooling can do?

I guess we will have to wait and see if any of those Noctua prototypes from computex see the light of day.
