What's a good sensitivity for CS:GO? My 8.5cm isn't working exactly well on long range. I can't make such small movements to get on their head.

Try medium sens around 25cm/360

Then work your way down slowly till you can track their eyeballs like a jar of jello

I used 83 cm/360 for a very long time. Then I increased to 70 cm/360. The highest I've ever tried to use for a longer time was 47 cm/360, but I couldn't aim very well on that. Now I'm at ~58 cm/360. (400 DPI, 1.8 sensitivity) If anything, I would rather lower it some more than increase it. But with my current sens I can easily move around and aim, not to slow or to fast.

Try around with a lower sens, not just 5 minutes. Stick with a lower sens for maybe a week and see how it feels.

I've tried few times for about 10 minutes, but I'm so much better on the sensitivity I'm used. My pad is 43cm so no way to have anything above 40cm/360. I'll try something around 25cm as Axaion suggested, but I just can't wrap my head around actually moving my hand instead of just wrist redface.gif Should it necessary make me a better player ? Maybe there is a way to learn how to aim with my high sens but unfortunately for me ,I haven't seen a single "beast" on CS with such sensitivity.

The pro player with the highest sens I can think of is Hiko from Complexity. He use 400 DPI and 4.2 in sensitivity. With a 43 cm pad you can easily go lower than 40 cm/360. There's not really any situation you need to to a 360. When I was using 83 cm/360 I was using a 44 cm Zowie pad. Now I'm using a PureTrak Talent, it's just ~3 cm wider than that.

Its better to take it in steps yeah, dont just go from 8.5 cm/360 to 40cm/360 - If anything, decrease it slowly over time, that way you wont feel like it super slow either wink.gif

42cm/360 here.
it's not an easy step to go from this really high 8cm/360°, to some lower sens where you actually have to recenter the mouse on the mousepad.

I constantly reposition my FK1 to the center of the pad, or to be more precise: I reposition it constantly to the position my forearm and wrist feel most comfortable at.
It needs time to adjust to this playstyle of course, but after only 2 days I managed to get back to my low sens which is now ~75cm/360. I came back from a WMO which I used at ~ 30cm/360.

Anything higher than 30cm feels WAY too uncontrolled for me, especially on mid and long distance shots.

I'm using 58-60cm/360. We'll see if I can get around 70cm/360 when my FK1 gets here tomorrow.
