I can't seem to comprehend how they let the G300 slide tho.

that was some 5 years ago, this is now. i can bet u that microsoft made much $$$$$ after relaunching it's canceled intellimouse, logitech should be thinking the same way.

They should but they aren't.

With the SC2 Scene blowing up, you would think they would put out a capable mouse willing to compete with the Abyssus, MiCO, Kinzu, and soon to be retired WMO.

I think logitech EU/US doesn't realize that the market for a light, optical, high performance ambidextrous claw/fingertip mouse is a lot greater than it was half a decade ago.

a little offtopic. i'm looking at microsoft comfort mouse 4500 with blue track as an alternative (need another mouse). so i wonder is this blue track any good for games, does it behave any good? it's data sheet claims tracking speed of 72 inches per second, is this correct, or is it achieavable only under laboratory enviroment? i ask this because i've seen on youtube people claiming it's only 1 m/s.

8 bit controller + 125hz cap = 40 IPS malfunction rate :[

Edit: Someone claimed that it does 200hz via PS/2. Don't know how truthfull that is, but whatever the case, that should boost the malfunction rate.

microsoft seems to be getting heavily retarted, since bill left he helm, just like logitech (and yes, METROui sucks the horses ass imho). the numbers i stated came from official techincal data sheet, from microsoft's page, stupd false advertisement. i do blame it all on apple.

Okay i bought 2. One in the G100 bundled together with the extremly cheap keyboard that is a disgrace to be even in the same room with my topre...and one G100 retail box.

Actually those 2 versions have different print on the button cover. Both look like the version on the chinese website but one has a silver the other more golden print.

Didnt open or compare PIDs yet. Below info is from PID: LZ12923 (retail version)

Mousefeet: Nice big mousefeet, one big in the back and 1 in each front corner, teflon but quite thin. Mico designers might want to watch and learn.

Cable: 1.8m PVC cable with a 2.5mm diameter. No ferrite core, no gold platet none-sense wink.gif. SR on mouse end. Rather flexible, not one of those very inflexible increidble shielded cables.

Polling rate: Only 500 Hz. I was dissapointed by that.

DPI settings: Some moron at logitech chose 1000, 1750 (corrected) and 2500 DPI. Adjustable in 50 dpi steps from 250 to 2500! I use it at 1000 DPI.

Angle snapping: There seems to be no noticable angle snapping. However I have the feeling of some sort of jitter correction, barely feelable. Maybe I am wrong and it is some form of barely noticable angle snapping instead.

Lod: Stopped moving with 3 CDs. Double checked with name cards - 2.8mm@qck.

Wheel: Feels like an optical solution. Will update once i opneed it up.

Swtiches: My guess is omron, will also update. To note: One of the two suffered from the typical low RF for the right mouse button known from omron. Would be an RMA for me, but i will use that sample to open it up ^^

Edit: Damn, the bundle has a different PID: LZ12831
Edit2: Found the driver

Can you assign the DPI-button to anything else?
