Corsair XMS3 question

Thread Starter
Hi there,

I own 4x2gb (8GB) in total of Corsair XMS3 (DDR3) RAM. I was a fool and threw away the packaging, thus I can't find out what my voltage + timings should be for running them at 1600mhz. Does anyone here know? Or could point me in the right direction?

Thanks,

Tom

Most XMS3 sticks have the main timings, rated speed and voltage on the heatsink itself. Just check the sticks and write down the timings.

They make 1.5V sticks and 1.65V sticks as far as I know so you should really just look at them and see if it's on them somewhere.
That or try running memtest at 1.5V and if it works you're sorted either way.
Timings could be CL7, 8 or 9 I think so you really need to check the sticks.

Thanks man, checked it and this is what I got:

1.65 Volts
9-9-9-24

Sweet. Just one more question. If I overclock my BE cpu using the multiplier, will it make my memory go over 1600hz or will the memory stay the same as I work on the multiplier?
