G.Skill Ripjaws X

Corsair Vengeance

And why?

Ripjaw's because I've had a lot more overclocking experience with them, I've tried a couple vengeance sticks and they suck horribly at it.

Same latencies and timings, difference of about $5, more or less both are reliable brands (and pretty good at OCing to)... I would take the vengeance since it's easier to match components to black mem heat spreaders versus getting the electric blue color if you ver decide to chenge color themes.

I actually went through this dilemma and had to spend money to buy new mems so it would match my theme. If I just bought black mems in the first place I would have saved some dough.

I would worry about the CPU cooler and the height of it before deciding. They could play a big role as I had something like that happened to me. Couldn't stick my cooler since my DDR2 Corsair XMS2 DHX spreader were tall. Something to consider.

both are nice RAM ,but like munaim mention Gskill will give you more OC head room if that's what you after ,never had bad experience with Gskill and love the value/performance they offer

I know, the blue is weak, but performance > looks. It's gotta be whether I like it or not.

Not a problem with my mobo/cooler.

I never had vengeance (Yes I am talking about the RAM) and never will.
Just heard so many stories that they don`t overclock well that I won`t buy them. Even if you don`t o.c. your RAM. IMHO it just looks like a way better quality product if it can reach higher clocks.
(OK, I have to admit that there are also some people who got good experience with them)
