For a softpad it is very fast, yet it still manage to have quite good control also but It won't match the mousepads that give you the best control. But there's a reason why this is the mousepad I have been using for the longest time, as it gives the perfect combination of control and speed for me

What pad would you say gives the best speed&control that will last awhile and not get gumped up with sweat or dust?

Many mice don't track properly on it. Probably the reason artisan still labels it as out of stock on their english website.

Ah I see so the hayabusa looks to be out then

I was thinking about the HIEN VE, is the hayate that much better to justify the cost? It's literally more than twice the amount of the HIEN.

Dunan, if you're interested in Hayate but find it too expensive I might have a deal for you as my Hayate (barely used for a month) is laying well packaged under my bed and collecting dust, whihc is a shame actually for such a pad. But I don't have any use for it, or mousepads or gaming peripherals in general anymore. pn me if you're interested.

I dont mind paying a premium if it's an awesome pad, IE the last pad i'd ever buy. I'm new here and I don't know anyone on the forum very well yet so let me think about it and if I'm interested I'll shoot you a pm.

Well I ordered a hayate and it was delivered today...haven't got to do anything with it yet other than run the mouse over it without the PC on. Really slick and high quality upon first impressions, we'll see how a few rounds of quake live go later tonight.
