Yeah I've read about that. I've placed them as far as I can from each other as I can (15cm).

But the effect seem very small. Could I just turn the the smaller coil upright?

All paint btw, the taping isn't a problem, I've already got an idea for that. Rope round a stanley knife, apply tape and then cut the shapes in the tape.

well as a paint decision i like the one you came up with 8 months ago. just veneer the cabinets in a light wood grain and go with a lime green and black bubble paint job. veneering isn't that hard of a job. just glue wood on and trim it flush with the side.

So I'm finished with exams and am currently at homre, ready to keep up that promis of updating this thread:

The things work great, can't say anything more they sound absolutely amazing. Usually I'm very picky with the things I build and I can focus on the smallest mistakes/faults in my project. In one of my headphone amps I hear the slightest of hiss on the lower levels, yet I seem to be the only one hearing it. Yet I can't find anything sounding bad about these speakers. I'm sure I'll find some nitpicky things to notice once I start to finalize the aesthetics of this project.

But without further adue: pictures.
Since these I have beveled the edges with a rotary machine and have sanded the whole things to a silky smooth finish without any seems (allthough on these pictures you can still see them).

Hey everyone,

Probably none is following this still, but that's my own fault I guess for taking so long to finis it.

Luckily we're in the holidays and I have b"een able to work on them for 5 days straight. I've done nothing but bevel the edges, sand, sand, sand, prime, sand, paint, sand, paint, sand, clearcoat, sand, clearcoat. Without exageration

. It' been alot fo work but it's been awesome and the final woodword has exceeded my expectations.

I've used mat wallpaint though as I wanted to save money (paint costs 23euros per coat easily), I only went out to buy the orange (also matt wallpaint) and clearcoat (for wooden floors they adviced me).

I'm happy with the result allthough I clearly have some orangepeel effect, I can't get it any better and it shouldn't. Allthough now I'm just curious how I could have done things otherwise to get a mirrorfinish? so I can do that next time and make them look even more awesome.

I'm gonna leave them to dry overnight and tomorrow install the drivers again.
