I know this is slightly off topic but I figured some one here will know the answer.

I've been told it's the voltage regular but someone please confirm

Well it's looking like the masses are all pointing in the same direction.

Is it likely the vreg would blow without overvolting?

doubt thats a vrm looks like a diode or something to me. Those are your vrms next to the caps and chokes on the right of the card. If you give me a better pic I can say for sure. BUt if it is vrm than its the smallest one ive ever seen

Not even close..it looks like a transistor or switch to me cant see how many legs it has though [transistor = 3x legs, diode = 2x legs].

*Its definitely NO WHERE NEAR THE POWER PHASES though.. those are all at the opposite end of the card.
