It might get cheaper if I get it when it's on sale I guess, most likely on "Thanksgiving."

Phenom II 840 is basically an Athlon, I'd move up to the 955. Yes, even this close to Bulldozer. If you're getting the 840 you might as well just get an Athlon 640.

Don't get an 870 board. Get a newer 900 series chipset board for Bulldozer compatibility. See here: http://www.overclock.net/amd-motherboards/1054875-amd-asrock-extreme-series-motherboard-club.html

Ditch the Tt PSU and get an Antec/Seasonic/Siilverstone/Corsair/XFX in the 450w range for a single card with no upgrades (yes, it will be enough), 600-750w for dual cards in the future.

Don't get 1333MHz RAM. Please.

Change the HDD to a Samsung F3 1TB

I'm not a fan of that case, but that's your preference, not mine.

There are a lot of things that could be better.
1. Board - Boards with better VRMs fully cooled can be had for the same priced. Get the GA-970A-UD3 on Newegg. Cheaper and better than the TigerDirect deal even if you must pay a tax.
2. RAM - That looks like an older kit (bigger ICs in the picture) with older ICs that will NOT overclock at all and hold back the overclocking of the entire setup. 2x4GB of DDR3-1600 can be had for $9 LESS on Newegg.
