Assassin H630 - G1 Assassin, Watercooled 990X, GTX780Ti Ghz - PAGE 6 update

Hi guys,

This build is pretty much complete, when i first got it, i kept the stock intel cooler for a couple of weeks, and then changed it to something better.

Old build was a Core 2 Duo E6700 in a NZXT Guardian case.
It was built and never modified in any way.

My current build has gotten me into Overclocking and everything smile.gif
After the build, i bought some Bitfenix Alchemy black 8 pin ATX extension to get rid of the big ugly cable going over the mobo and also sprayed my ram heatsinks from red to black.

This was a couple of days after i built her (serious WIP), i sprayed the ram sinks from red to black, and removed the RAM fan. At the time i really needed an extention for the 8 pin cpu cable, looked so bad running over the entire motherboard.

I got my bitfenix extention and fixed that problem while also tidying up the case in general and i upgraded the CPU cooler to an NZXT Havik 140

I had a small desk, crap keyboard and crap speakers

changed the LEDs from red to green on the front fan

Thanks! biggrin.gif It is quite cosey. I decided to try it out once, swapped it around with my normal computer chair, and it hasn't gone back, hehe.

Look forward to seeing your rig Wretch3d.

Looks really good! I just got done with my build (very similiar to yours). And you might have motivated me to finally drop some coin on a decent chair! Thinking about going green once I either add water or get sick of blue.
Come at me, bro!

Haha thanks, the nice chair really makes a difference to my time at the PC.
I couldn't buy a green mega flow fan so i just got myself a soldering iron, solder and some of the same power LEDs in green and also some heat shrink.

Its a nice clean install.

Been a while posting in this thread since there isn't a whole lot that i needed to do on the beast. There were a few things that bugged me after a while that i sorted out, here they are.

I bought a new PSU on thursday. Swapped out the Thermaltake 1350w. I wanted something fully modular, and then i found the Corsair AX1200 with its black modular cabling, so i bought it.

Assassinblackcables.jpg

Installing it and completely re-doing the wiring was awesome, a lot less clutter and a much nicer look.

Last week I bought a Das Keyboard Ultimate Silent, replacing another Thermaltake product, a Challenger Pro that was a bastard to type on.

Its my first mechanical keyboard, with cherry browns, i love it, so much difference while typing and gaming its unbelievable.

I also bought a Xonar DX about a month ago, is nice.
