Also my motherboard won't let me set my ram voltage to 1.65 that it's suppose to be on. It only goes up by increments of 2 so the closest i can get is 1.63 or 1.67?

Just a tip, as has been stated: always set as many voltages and timings manually as you can. You want as much control over what your board does when it and the cpu/mem go under load as possible.

And, try the 1.67v on the mem. Going +.02 over the rated specs shouldn't have any negative affects--I'd never recommend anything I wouldn't do myself. If you look in HWMonitor you'll see even at 1.67v it may not even be that high once you get into Windows--even RAM can have vdroop; mine does. What I set in BIOS is .015 lower in Windows.

As I said earlier, the nb oc and volt increase can further stabilize big OC's.

Seems to be stable for now, however, unrelated question but why does my temperature increase 4-5c when I put the side of my case on? is it bad airflow? should I get another fan and put it on the side of the case?

How's your cable management? The less obstruction the air has in it's path the better.

Put your top exhaust on HIGH if you can. Hot air rises and you want it out of the case as soon as possible.

same happens to me, I leave the case open during the summer months(I have begun folding) and then I put the side on during the winter when my room drops back down to 70F its ~80F right now.... :/

Back with an update:
Left memtest on overnight, got 8 passes 0 errors. Everything seems fine there.
Now today I went out and left prime95 on, somewhere along the line it just crashed. I get NO error reports, no logs, no anything. It just stops running and crashes. Then if I try to use any applications on my computer they all crash such as Google Chrome and gives me all sorts of trouble until I restart. What's the culprit here??

Once again temps did not exceed 49c

You are unstable, if possible OC your NB that is often needed to further stabilize the CPU.

CPU-NB or just NB? By how much? increments of 0.5?

you want it to hit around 2800-3000mhz and set the CPU/NB 1.30v. so yeah.

Okay. I'll try that and post results.

Edit: bumped it up to 1.303 ran BC2 for 5 minutes and got graphical glitches and my sound went really horrid and killed my ears then my computer rebooted. Bumped it up again and going to see now..

Edit 2: Happened again.
So far this is what I have

Its not a memory issue
It's not a voltage issue
It's not a temperature issue

I've only been raising the multiplier, to about x19
I haven't touched the FSB.

Which one should I raise to get the 3.8ghz I want? Its hard to explain what actually happens, it isn't a BSOD or anything. It just gives a bunch of graphical issues and doesn't restart my PC but either closes the program and my computer continues to function except everything is really unstable and crashes or my computer just reboots. Hmm..Anyone have any ideas?
