Samsung Smart Tv Questions

My family has recently purchased a Samsung 55 UN55D800 Smart Tv and now it's up to me to teach them all about it. The main reasons they decided to get it were the price (1909.99 from amazon and Bestbuy priced matched it), the internet, and that it's a really nice tv. Now what the problem is is that my family wants to watch videos on websites (not like youtube, like blinkx) but some sites need a vlc pluggin and other sites you have to open / click on a tab to get to what you want to watch. Since the remote has a qwerty keyboard you can use the arrow keys to move around on the site but can't get to everything (like the tabs one blinkx) so you can't open them and get to what ever you wanted to watch. Is there some way to over come this? Then secondly I know it's not a computer but is there a way to install pluggins so that some site would work? I've looked in the manual but there is no section on web browser and I've tried googling it but people only take about checking emails and not about streaming movies from websites. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Man thats the tv im saving up for right now unless I can find something cheaper with its quality. Wow at them getting it for $1909 at bestbuy. Did they get it with the megamind kit as well? I don't think you can download any codecs or anything at the modem for other video files as I saw someone posted on another forum they were upset that there hasn't been any updates since they bought it to play more video files.

Nah it was just the Tv for that price. Sucks that there hasn't been an update, like its great it has internet and all, but without codecs and things like that you are limited to using like 40% of what on the internet. I hope this changes soon. I read reviews saying this tv will eliminate the need for htpc but if it can't do something simple as stream a tv show online cause it doesn't support codecs then they are sadly mistaken
