Windows 8: Partition size? How much does it use?

Cant seem to find either.

I'm due a fresh format soon and I'm thinking about creating a partition to test this new Windows 8 preview out on.

From what I've heard so far, so good - everyone is talking about this Metro UI ATM but i've heard it boots up in seconds. Looking forward to it...

I've done a clean install. It uses 18.5gb but also recommended that the partition has 5gb free space for 'growth' and moveability of files, so I've put it on a 40gb partition.
