Trouble with Corsair Vengence RAM

Thread Starter
So I picked up the CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B that was on sale on newegg to replace my old TWIN3X2048-1800C7DF but I'm having the hard time getting this memory to run at 1600. I do have to admit it's been awhile since I last overclocked anything. Frankly don't understand what I'm doing different.

The ram is currently running on default settings:
DRAM Freq - 533 MHz
FSB-DRAM - 1:2
CL - 8
tRCD - 8
tRP - 8
tRAS - 20
tRFC - 78
CR - 2T

I own a ASUS Maxiumus Extreme and a Q6600.

yeah that didn't work. >_<

Never used XMP before either so i researched it a little before i did it... isn't suppose to list the profile info right underneath the profile after it was selected? Mine does not.
