Well no... that command is the same as it has always been. However, it seems that they've gone the path of GNOME Shell and made it difficult to discover the GUI way of doing it. Power-related commands are not settings, so what are they doing in the Settings menu?

There aren't articles and videos showing how to shut down for no reason.

I like the pretty new effects but it seems they made it more difficult for desktop users... I don't know hwo to close the "apps" besides alt+f4. And since there is no windows media player there is only this music app... How would I make the music app recognize the music on another hard drive? I could with WMP..

Well, been messing with it for an hour now, and I'm not digging it! The whole thing just doesn't make any sense to me. I keep asking myself why? Why would they do this, why would they do that. Why, why, why. LOL. Anyway, I've plugged an external hard drive in my usb port, and windows 8 doesn't even know it's there. Can't see it at all. It's a 2.5" drive in a drive enclosure. Worked fine on 7. Hmmm.rolleyes.gif

Windows media player is there, just do a search for it. That's how I found it.
