im quite enjoying windows 8, i installed it last night and played with it for a few hours setting up tiles that i wanted, etc
if anyone doesnt know, programs like coretemp can be pinned to the start screen, you just have to find it in its home location folder, right click and hit pin to start .
i ran the WEI and got 8.2, lowest rating was because of my mechanical storage drives.
i havent had a driver problem or anything, for those with creative sound cards, go to thier site and download the latest driver, when you install it will work properly again.
i actually managed a bit of gaming in the midst of setting everthing up, i threw RAGE on just for the fun of it, no crash problems of any kind.
i bought the upgrade version cause i already had win 7 pro, too kabout a half hour between download and install, and my boot times have literally halved from win 7.
i kept all my settings and programs when i did the upgrade, so i had no reinstalling problems to deal with steam took about 30 secs to detect my games again, but big deal.
the only thing i WANT is to use a custom image on my start screen, but i dont have that ability
