that I've heard. I read a post somewhere that the only reason the one bloke installed it to play xbox games. Completely forgot to do further reading on that. Question though will that hurt xbox sales or make it better for developers releasing xbox and pc games as one. Which will be great if one can work on both. Go suck a toe sony

I Imagine it will hurt their sale's alittle but then again it will increase sales on computers/computer componants, which means it brings more money for investment in advancing hardware.

Xbox sales wont massivly decrease because most people who own a xbox/ps3/wii, is because they pref a consol on their tv's or they dont have a understanding on a gaming pc.

My brother-in law he wouldnt have a clue on a gaming pc and would argue to hell and back his xbox is better for gaming than my pc because "its a computer" xbox was built for games.

But if or when microsoft do this it will send sony in the toilets again.

But I hope they do for the reason of like you said developers will be able to tweak the game to run better for pc's and it will come with xbox controller support and games for windows

I would sure wish I was able to play forza at my computer, sadly it will never happen.
Just from a financial perspective, no way in hell Microsoft will ever do that.

They will lose they’re xbox sales, all the accessories, live subscriptions, etc. They will lose all the money they get from console ports, and why will developers write a game for xbox that will be played on a pc? They have the games for windows branch; I think they will keep it.

It all depends because they make money from each game sold/bought,

Plus they will make money from each copy of the os sold, You got to remember people will still pref the xbox over the pc and not everyone will have acsess to a gaming spec pc and would rather go for the cheaper xbox so it wont be dis-banded.

What I mean is this, Not everyone will get a pc with the right spec of pc to run games.

Take Gta iv for instance you cant just go to pc world and get a X2 machine with a 512mb oem card in and expect to play it at the same quality of xbox.

Yes I know its not the most graphics amazing thing in the world but £150 console £450 (min) gaming spec pc (pre-built)

Looking on-line for custom made computers/pre-built computers from pc-world maplin e.c.t

People like my sister and brother in law would be better off with the xbox.

I'm not going to sugar coat it. Whoever believes Windows 8 will run Xbox 360 games are not very smart. By Xbox integration they most likely meant Games For Windows and Xbox Live joining together.

Most Xbox games already have a PC port, and exclusives aren't coming over because they're, well, exclusive. And there's no point in adding an emulator because it will run like crap even on your fancy builds with 2600ks and 580s. Why? To emulate something well the hardware has to be exponentially more powerful (maybe atleast 7x or 8x) than what it's emulating. A nice PC is alot more powerful, but not so much that it would perform the task easily.

Hey, I'd like to run Xbox 360 exclusives on my PC too guys. But it's not happening.
