Questions About Corsair Dominator GT Kit - Page 2

PC3-17000 Dominator GT CMT4GX3M2A2133C9 v7.1 (2x2GB) 9-10-9-24 @ 1.65V Powerchip (PSC)

I believe it's the same one you linked providing that it's the 7.1 rev, if it's 8.1 then your doomed because nanya's are very poor.

Yes they are Hynix.

I just picked them up and they are version 5.1 so according to RAMlist they are supposed to be Hynix.

Now are they good for overclocking past 2000MHz? I would love to get them to 2133 if at all possible.

150 is not that much for corsair ram... 7-8-7 2000MHz 4gb ram from them cost 500 dollars when they still sold it

according to *hiwa on XS... he knows alot about memory... most if not all 4gb density modules are hynix... since psc and elpida don't make 4gb density modules publicly available if they make them at all

i would get either of these instead... they'll probably overclock better and slightly cheaper... with dominator gt.. you are paying for dhx technology which you don't really need

might be able to get 2200MHz without changing timing or voltage... will be testing the mushkin when i get them on monday

I paid the same price as your showing for this kit since I got them for 20% off at Microcenter.

But I'd be looking to run these at least 1866MHz otherwise it's not even close to being worth it.

I would love for them to run 2133 though. And I'd take crappier timings for it.

Are the Hynix chips even going to run 1866 with stock timings? Or are they discontinued because they're crap?

Corsair took them off their website already.

Anyone have any idea how these will clock under and above their stock speeds?

I would like to know if this kit will be bust before I open them.
