Hi, I 've been trying to overclock my i5 2500k to 4.5ghz for the past few days and I can never finish prime before a bsod of 124. I assume that means more vcore and I have gone up to 1.38v and I don't think it should be that high for a 4.5ghz oc. Please help me cause I've read many guides and enabled/disabled many things and it still has not helped. I've also tried manually setting the qpi vtt voltage and CPU PLL but it's just getting me even more confused. My motherboard is MSI Z68A-GD55 B3.As of right now I have put everything on auto and slowly upping the vcore once again. I notice the CPUIO(VTT) is at 1.352 when I set it to auto
Edit: I have put the SYstem agent voltage to 0.925 and cpu vcore to 1.7. CPUIO at 1.15. BSOD on occt 40 mins in.
1. Set everything in BIOS back to defaults.
2. Turn "turbo boost" off.
3. Feed it 1.4v.
4. Set multiplier at 45x.
5. Run OCCT auto 1hr
6. Report back.
