RAM Instability

Hi,

I have a question concerning memory overclocking.
I have so far checked the base clock and it will run at 210 without any problems.
But when I run the memory at stock speeds (2000 MHz) it will post but won't pass the stress test (Prime95 Blend). This is with the QPI/VTT voltage at 1.45 V.
The timings are 8-9-8 24.

My system components:
Asus Rampage III Extreme
Intel Core i7 950
Corsair Dominator GT CMT6GX3M3A2000C8
Custom water cooling for CPU, Motherboard and GPU

BIOS Settings:
CPU Ratio Setting [14.0]
BCLK Frequency [200]
DRAM Frequency [DDR3-2005MHz]
UCLK Frequency [4009]
QPI Link Data Rate [7218MT/s]
Load-Line Calibration [Full Calibration]
QPU Voltage 1.349 [Auto]
CPU PLL Voltage 1.819 [Auto]
QPI/DRAM Core Voltage [1.45000]
DRAM Bus Voltage [1.65625]

Thanks in advance

Change timings to 9-9-9-24 and leave everything else alone. If that doesn't fix it, knock down the BCLK a little and increase CPU Ratio.

But isn't the RAM rated for 8-9-8 24 timings at 2000MHz?

Are you using the x.m.p profile or setting everything manual. Plus that is a pretty high qpi rate you have there. Default is 4.8GT/s. So try either the x.m.p profile or back off the qpi speed some.

I've tried both XMP and Manual, but with the same result. The lowest QPI Link Data Rate I can have is 7.218 GT/s and then there is Slow Mode. I am sorry for being such a noob but I really need help

I'm thinking it might be low qpi/vtt voltage, takes a pretty good bloomfield to run 4000Mhz uncore with 1.45V, might have to bump that up more for stability.

But is it safe to go over 1.45V for the QPI/VTT?
Others have done it 24/7, don't personally know about long term though, I'll go higher when benching & temps are in check but usually ran 1600 - 1866 with tighter timings for 24/7 with the 920.

What do you reckon I can run with my setup?
