R4zor,

What exactly did you add to your case and how did you do it (be specific). If I can add a LEDs to the 400r and connect them to the switch I would like to know how.

it is a normal sticky SMD led strip on the side panel you can buy it by centimeter /meter and cut it to you own liking.

But you can connect every led strip to that connector (it just has to be 12v. )

I didn't add anything to the case, or neither modyfied the fancontroller/lightningswitch, only put the wires from the Ledstrip in the orri 500R fan-connector (see picture) :

The 500R fan-connector have differend Pinout than a Normal fan connector or mainboard Pinout !!!

mostly you get a black and red wire on the ledstrip, just solder a 3 pin connector on it
(watch + and - from leds or it wont work test it before solding if it dont work switch red and black wink.gif)

you can use an old "powerled connector" it will fit nicely.

now solder RED from LED strip to the GREEN wire
and the BLACK from LED strip to the WHITE wire

And then plug it in on your free connector from the ORRI 500r fancontroller

I just managed to connect my LED strip to the fan connector following this information, and it works great! The light can now be turned on and off.
So thanks for this. The LED strip already had a fan header, so I simply needed to reposition the positive and negative wires to correspond with the 500R connector.

It would have been nice if they would have just followed the center 120mm fan holes straight out for the 15mm spacing and would have just had automatic support for 280mm rads. So just pick which end you want to leave as is, and drill your new holes accordingly.

Edit: Strike that possibly. According to Linus in this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zBbUqGlB1KQ

He does a x60 in the C70 which I believe to have the same fan spacing as the 400/500r and also falls into the needs to be modified category as well, but does no modifications to the case. He does only use 4 screws instead of 8 though.

Ah i see as i thought , i was thinking it was something like you said about Linus with his C70 but my English isn't so good so i barely understand what he said. Usually reading it off forums etc or from someone is more clear thumb.gif

In that case i have another choice for water cooler =)

I do want to get NZXT but i not sure will they be importing any here in my country , we barely have any NZXT products here.

It's either that or Antec Kuhler h2o 920 / Thermaltake Water 2.0 PRO , i tend not to get 240mm rad because it will look weird on top for it will have some spacing since im able to support 280mm on top , so it will have some weird clearance between the case panel lol if you get what i mean.

Tks for the help smile.gif

So i was wondering about upgrading from my small Corsair H60 due to the extreme amount of noise the radiator fan makes, anyone know of a full watercooling kit with pumps for sale around Europe (10/10 if around Norway Sweeden, Dennmark) that fits the Corsair Carbide 500r (White)
