Q- does PiFast not benefit from 1x core on AMD? I know specifically for Intel, that PiFast has crazy cache addressing or something which boosts times for every core disabled..

ie- all settings the same, just disable cores for boost in score

--Does AMD not experience this? *I have not ever benched AMD..ever.

**Sorry- I ask because I noticed the above run with 2x cores enabled..

This is the first I've actually heard of this mate. It's something I will compare next time I have a chip under LN2 which will be in a couple weeks. I've only ever ran it with 2 or more cores enabled, never with just a single core, so I'll make sure to give it a go.

Adding a pause and setting affinity works good

Had a little left over LN2 after benching the 955, so I decided to take the MA790X-UD4P and my 9850 for a spin, very impressed. Managed to take gold in all my submitted benchmarks and am the first to hit 4GHz on a 9850 Just madness that, it took LN2 and over 1.8v to get to 4 (which most couldn't even do) on a Phenom chip and now we're dissapointed if we can't hit 4.5 on water. How times have changed, and fast.

Hwbot results for 9850: http://hwbot.org/search/submissions/...JJC&cpuId=1616

Whooo, 4GHz

To be fair, Phenom Is are sucky for clock speed in general.

But great achievement man.
