Have you tried testing each RAM stick in just one slot to make sure they all work?

What qpi/vtt voltage you running? i note too low a qpi/vtt can cause not all ram to be recognised.

Also does your bios have options for mem remap? i did have same mobo for a while but cant remember what the bios was like.

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately, it's absolute gibberish to me. I can say that I haven't overclocked the RAM or CPU. I do have a 980X though.

I'll try updating BIOS.

Memory controller is on the CPU. When you lose a channel of RAM like that, it can often be caused by how the CPU is seated in the socket. This means the cooler could be mounted too tight, the CPU is misaligned slightly in the socket, or worst of all- the motherboard could have bent pins. Remove the cooler and reseat the CPU, double check there are no bent pins. If there are none, then just mess around with your QPI/DRAM voltage.
