OCZ releases firmware 2.13 for 3 series ssd. - Page 3

Reading this makes me so happy I could return my Kingston HyperX.

Hey mcg: Just wanted to let you know, still solid as a rock with the Crucial m4. I did nothing more than simply take out the Sandforce and put in the m4. No changes of setup or anything other than a fresh Windows install. Yep, it's definitely my motherboard and/or user error. Yep. What a bunch of bull.

Quick update: While using the Intel ports I was lucky if I got 8 hours without a bsod, I've had my machine up all night running the Agility 3 on the Marvell ports and it's still up.

Now for the real test, can this thing stay up 7 days....

That's the first time I've heard that. On that mobo, the Intel controller is way better than the Marvel. You should be able to get full speed from your SSD on the Intel controller but not on the Marvell. Which Intel drivers were you using?

I'm using the Intel drivers from 5/20/2011 v. 10.6.0.1022 "Intel Desktop/Workstation/Server Express Chipset SATA RAID Controller"

I haven't run any benchmarking tools, but the Marvell controller is reporting the drive speed as 6gb/s and windows is booting just as fast as ever.

I've read various reports about different SSD benchmarking tools causing drive issues, so which one should I be using with the Agility3 ?

Use Atto and As-ssd. OCZ uses both for their product fact sheets on each drive so that way you'll know if the numbers are right.

But do not run more than once a week. As-ssd does a lot of writing to the drive.
