1.6V is probably top top for intel chip... your current vCore would damage your chip.
1.4V is usually the max safe vcore for 775 chips.
Somebody on OCN might be able to show you how to vmod your mobo.
Just need the right person to spot your post!

Also, please fill in your system info as that way is better for everyone.

Hey ocman! Nice nice another canadian lol! My comp will not boot at regular 1.35 volts past 250 fsb.... and its not stable past 240 fsb unless i upped the vcore to at least 1.48 volts... so i decided eh what the hell lets go for 1.6 volts! Thats the most volts alloud to my cpu! Overvolt control on the motherboard and chip. I can boot into windows at 265 fsb at 1.6 volts but is not stable no matter what past 250. Again 250 fsb is only stable unless vcore is at 1.48 volts... i got random bluescreens even at 1.45 volts... so not too sure about that one really wierd that i need that much voltage. And ill fill out that info right now!! Thank u for replying! Oh and remember i got watercooling so my cpu is always pretty cool no matter what voltage just seems like the motherboard needs more voltage to it!

On the ASUS product page, I didn't see much mentioned... your mobo may not be design for user to overclock easier.
Any fields like CPU GTL, Load Line Calibration, Skews, and Spectrums for you to change?
Other than VCore, try changing the vFSB, and vNB too.
Not sure how much info in the PRO Turbo...owners club can help you, but do check out the club's 1st page for reference help! link in my sig~

Post there and see if the guys there has the answer for you~

Hope this help!
