I'm surprised Windows was the OS of choice for this project. Looks like Linux would have been perfect.

Windows is the choice while testing and setting everything up and for calibration. Linux will be used when we start finalizing the control code. That is all on other people though, I am just in charge of making the computer work for now.

something I CAN share: the PSU problem has been resolved. My professor went ahead and got the purchase of the M4-ATX PSU approved. should have it by the end of the week.

Koolance makes water blocks for HDDs if the heat really becomes a problem for them.

I don't think they make them for 2.5" drives, but there is a solution in the works anyway. Thanks though.
