For dual card SLI, if both boards were priced at $150 which would you choose and why? Lot's of reviews for MSI GD80 but none for Gigabyte UD3 ?

GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3

Definitely the UD3, and there are plenty of reviews here. I have the UD5, very similar board, and I love it. Great RAM overclocking, great CPU overclocking, one of the best looking motherboards ever created, etc. Go for the UD3.

yea, I think it's the best looking mobo I've seen to date, it's build quality seems very good, etc but I can't find any reviews by folks such Hardware Secrets, Guru3D, etc

[H]ard|OCP said the MSI board was quirky, but customer reviews for the Gigabyte seem very good indeed. I'm also thinking resale down the road and the MSI board does have an advantage being able to do tri-SLI @ x16/x16/x8 plus, you don't loose the PCI slot (for a sound card) like you will on the Gigabyte UD3 board

The UD3 has tri-SLI and it also has a PCI slot.

wow, the Gigabyte UD3 has lot's of rave feedbacks at Newegg but the MSI board, well, too many complaints for me. I'll stick with the Gigabyte ... and especially liked the following feedback comment:

Pros: VERY ADULT LOOKING BOARD {8^D
