[Murdermod] Murderbox MKII Prototype fully unveiled! - Page 9

This is the first shot we're seeing of the MKII's full front, including the lower part of the chassis. Where earlier pictures detailed a different 3.5 bay cover with grooved slots, this depicts a custom faceplate for the Aquacomputer Aquaero XT.

Things are getting interesting. Seems that Charles has teamed up with some other manufacturers of high-end components to offer complete quality and integration over the entire chassis.

Still waiting for next week where you make a dedicated thread for one of the screws used in the MKII (with the obligatory fancy myspace angle shot of course).

A CaseLabs case pretty much destroys this thing in almost every way. And I'm sure for a fraction of the cost.

What's the big attraction anyways?

While I am a massive fan of CaseLabs cases, I can only assume you've never seen a tjo7 up close. The aluminum uni-body really is drop dead gorgeous.

Functionality: hands down Case Labs

IMO, mk II probably has better outlook.

Especially, I expect the design will be similar to the past murderbox cases,

I expect partial Acrylic window at the top, with inverted motherboard.
With EK VGA Nickel-Plexi waterblock, the top view of full system will be damn awesome.

But I need to admit that Caselab or Little devil may have better functionality at the end.

I expect something like this

*yawn* More teaser shots to create fake hype. Tell me when they just show the whole case. Then I will buy a different case.

True, and I would expect the same similarities between the earlier generation and the MK II also. Although, I'd have to disagree on the anything concerning EK & nickle. I wouldn't touch that with a 10' pole. Of the two Murderbox examples on MDPC, I prefer this one here.

How in the world does it appear that there are no seams between the front panel and the unibody?

Is it really possible that the murderbox folks got their hands on the badass industrial metal working equipment which made Silverstone's design possible?
