The system is booting in safe mode - Minimal Services :(

Thread Starter
So a friend has this PC that just won't boot normally. It loads everything to
classpnp.sys then displays this screen

img0046jz.jpg

Then it just boots into safe mode.

I tried loading default bios settings, cleaning registry, restoring windows etc.

Can I just delete/rename the classpnp.sys? Do I need it?
The problem is that I don't have the Windows DVD here, so repairing isn't an option.

Windows also did autorepair and no luck frown.gif

In "system configuration" under the boot tab, can you uncheck "Safe boot?"

Also, isnt build 7601 the "evaluation copy"?

Bios boot doesn't matter. The pic is just the system drivers loading into safe mode.

DID YOU TRY WHAT WE WROTE?!? wink.gif
