Sounds awesome - cannot wait to see your build log.
I received a ton of little pieces today that I needed - on to the leak testing! Here are a few pics:
Setting up the CPU Rad with the new fan (I ditched the white one)
Cut and installed the black tubing I needed (I ditched the white and blue scheme - hmm there seems to be a trend here . . . )
Here is the system stripped of everything before I re-tube.
I have my acrylic ready to go - and I probably needed to wait on painting - but I couldn't wait! I need two things to get the holes in proper location on the back of the cover. First, the hole locations as they exist on the back of the reservoir. Of course none of the holes line up in any even way so I just colored around the edges with a permanent marker and did a little old fashioned cave rubbing. This gave me the following:
I don't need to drill out the hole that large since that is the size of the fitting - I just made a center mark for the 1/2 hole I will drill. Next I took a few measurements to place the holes on the back of the acrylic.
I will post the final install pics tomorrow of the final bay drive mockup. Next up was the reinstallation of the failed Koolance pump (crossing fingers it was working!)
All buttoned up and leak testing now. First pic shows how much air was in the system at startup - left side started about 5 minutes before right side in this pic. Very frothy.
Here is the res after running for about 15 minutes - quite a bit of air pumped out of the left side already. Looking good - no leaks!
Still have a long list of to-dos before I actually am up and running for good although I may skip a ahead a little since I have some fancy toys coming THURSDAY! YUP - my sexy 3D monitors come in this week and I cannot wait to check them out. Unfortunately, there is no way this system will be ready for them by then, but I will run them on my current rig (i7 860 OCd to 3.9, EVGA FTW mobo, 4gig corsair dominator, with a single 295 card - not ideal, but I should be able to run two.) So this week plan on finalizing water runs, finish painting all acrylic (finished my stencils - paint should look cool), rough in wiring for fans, LEDs, fan controller, temp leads (where oh where art thou MDPC sleeving?), finish vid card cover, do program installs and setup my RAID, and a few other things I seem to be forgetting. FUN!
