EVGA X58 Classified b8 or 68 error

Thread Starter
Just got this board and tried to get it up and running... But on startup it switches between F6 and F3 a few times, then goes to b8 or 68 for a few seconds and restarts.

I tried:
Powering down, removing battery, and resetting CMOS
Swapped PSUs
Swapped CPUs
Used only one stick of a set
Tried one stick from a known working set...

Any ideas?

from searching those error codes it has something to do with the memory.. but if you tried all that it may just be a bad mobo..

you could try updating the bios.

I have this error now, there is no way to boot a bios update i get a black screen. i get the yellow ram error led too with any ram i use.
could it possibly be the memory controller in the cpu?
