But, enabling all three screens = about 55-60 fps outside and about 70-80 inside but it feels choppy as crap. I know I shouldn't be complaining about those numbers but switching between 1 and 3 monitors is a night and day difference (even w/ AA and the bells and whistles turned down to medium). Of course it makes sense that there would be a massive fps hit with such a high resolution, but in BC2 I easily pull over 100 fps at 5760x1080.
Looks like I might need to add a 6970 to this 6990 next week and hope that the retail release is better optimized
Edit: Actually, I just re-tested it with 11.9 CAP4+CAP5 and it is actually quite playable, maybe my post above was too negative. Will post some screens soon
I just tried it with the new 11.10 preview drivers. I must say that performance is reminiscent of a game that lacks a crossfire application profile. With ultra settings in 1080p eyefinity(5760x1080), I averaged around 50fps, and looking at the ground netted me 108 fps. I have seen a similar setup claim to have way better performance at the same resolution. At 1080P (single monitor) I average approximately 160fps outside at ultra settings, and yes I am overclocked (only a mild 950/1450 though). My suspicion echos what was very recently posted above me, that crossfire isnt really working yet... the fact that I pull the same framerate as the person I quoted who has only one HD6990 seems to confirm this.
