Best monitor for GPU usage?

What is the best program to monitor GPU usage? Best thing i could come up with was MSI afterburner.

I probably wont OC my GPU, so it doesnt matter if it has options for it or not. thanks!

Yeah, I just use afterburner. Detach the hardware monitor and make it big so it graphs something like the previous 15 minutes of gameplay.

Why would you NOT OC your GPU? It's "free" performance.
Once again...

TBH I miss the days when you couldn't monitor your GPU usage %. I can't even tell you how many hours of my life I've wasted trying to figure out WHY I wasn't getting 99% at all times on certain games (or sections thereof) tongue.gif

The MSI Afterburner Onscreen Display feature is the best for this purpose though ... but consider yourself forewarned ... you won't always see 99%, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything is 'wrong' ... and definitely doesn't mean you're gonna be able to 'fix it' ... so don't get all stressed about it.

And don't forget that using v-sync (or if the game has a built-in framerate cap) means you won't be getting 99% usage (and it's totally logical why you won't) . And in a lot of online games (BFBC2 I'm looking at you!) you often won't get 99% either thumb.gif

Yeah but im looking at 50% usage and i think it should be a lot higher than that. Especially when my PC struggles to keep frame rates up on some games.

Seems most newer games i play it barely gets above 50%.

Wait... shouldn't you still see high usage with Vsync? I thought it rendered all frames normally and just dropped the excess frames. In order to meet the monitors refresh rate.

Nope. V sync caps the frames rendered by the GPU depending on your monitors refresh rate.
