8 GB of RAM - Only 3.99 GB usable? - Page 9

Try going back to advanced boot options in msconfig, enabling max memory checkbox, and putting in 8192 in the box below. Restart your computer and it should show all memory as being available.

TLDR


On my Asus MB I have to enable Memory remapping to access the > 4 gig ram


This is when I only had 2 gigs, but enable the memory remap

It is enabled. When I disable it, it goes down to 3.30

Guys, I noticed on everest it says i'm running @ 667 MHz..
It should run at 1333MHz, right?
The BIOS won't let me change the volt, it keeps setting it back to AUTO when I press enter.

I'm not here to suggest a fix as i have never encountered this.. but it seems from his dxdiag that physically the ram is fine..

start from there.

And it does. 667 times 2 = 1333MHz. You have to multiply the shown MHz with two.
