I believe the VL3N's are designed to drop only 1-2 drops of liquid when they are disconnected. The VL4 drops significantly more in comparison, but it has less restriction and in effect, higher flow.

the VL3N doesn't drip at all in my experience with them. I hardly ever even see any liquid on the connectors when i disconnect them. I have 2 pairs of them in my loop(mcr 320, mcr 120, koolance 580 block, apogee XT cpu block, with an mcp350 for the pump and my flow is very good still.
