interesting, I been using my old GTX770 as a dedicated card, because it still works fine. i was wondering if it actually hurt performance by having it.

Results
GTX970 + GTX770 = score 6760 avg 111FPS
GTX970 Alone = score 6801 avg 112 FPS
GTX970 + CPU = 6774 avg fps 111 fps

scored better alone but FPS was basically the same.

It might depend on what game you're benching with. A guy who had two Titans in SLI found that using one of the Titans as a dedicated PhysX card gave him better FPS in the Metro 2033 benchmark than keeping it in SLI.

Killing Floor 2 uses advanced FleX effects that would probably benefit from a dedicated PhysX card as well.

I tried using my 780 as a dedicated PhysX card for a while w/my 980Ti -- I never noticed a difference except in benchmark graphs.
