2500k, corsair 500r with h100 - Page 2

umm..i'd push it (vcore) as high as temps will allow...or the chip hits a brick wall..mine brick walls @ 5 ghz..the one i had before (rip) brick walled @ 5.3..i just had to get to 5.4..juiced it up to 1.76..cilled it.Seriously though..intel spec sheet says 1.52v and 72c for core temp biggrin.gif once it hits the brick wall..STOP..oh..and it's better to use offset voltage..simple method..set clock to stock..raise offset ..reboot..it will show you what the voltage is..adjust..reboot..wheee.gif:get it a wee bit higher than necessary for your desired clock..check stability..then lower vcore in increments..btw ..how's that board?drool.gif

my max temp was 56 which seems low. Does this mean I have more room to play with?
epic temps yeah you have more room to play try 4.7 with the same Vcore 1.36 and set it to manual and again epic temps

thanks Robilar and yes the case comes with a 200mm fan already mounted on the side! Heres a pic

thanks for the reply.. So should I continue to use offset if i want to jump the multiplier up? What is the difference between setting a fixed vcore and using offset to achieve the same number? I know as of now the voltage is at 1.360using a +0.075 offset.. If I set a fixed vcore to 1.360 will that change anything?

The board is great. It was cheap, and its got everything I need. I've had 0 issues with it so far.
