I'm new to these forums but to be honest i feel like this isnt that big of a problem for the k60 and more of a problem for the k90 considering your macro keys are more important. For me who play's fps i could give 2 shi*ts about the function buttons all the buttons i need to press are with red switches. I think the more important issue would be the build quality people have been talking about rather than OMG the function buttons arent mechanical let me go kill my self.....

Exactly. For MMO players both function and macro keys are of extreme importance and are use almost as much as any other keys, so they being not mechanical plainly sucks.

So is there any other keyboard on the market that is FULLY mechanical w/ macros?
I know Razer has one but I strongly dislike the retarded F key placement
I know AZiO has one but that one has no instant macro programing.

I still look forward to purchase the k90 even thought the macro and top keys arnt mechanical, unless there is something else out there like the k90 but ALL mechanical.

and *** is up with the release date...

Besides the Razer, there is the TT meka G-unit, which I'll buy (I'm waiting localized layouts).

Why not just get a Griffin Powermate? Then the list of possible mechanical keyboards will be blown wide open.
I was close to getting one of them.

Then I found this thing:
http://www.altoedge.com/design/multimedia-video-controller.html
Though their site apparently won't let me order it because I'm in Australia, even though they say they will ship to Australia. So I found one on ebay and ordered it instead.
Other sites call it a contour designs shuttle xpress (as opposed to the proper spelling of express)

There's also this:
http://www.amazon.com/3Dconnexion-SpaceNavigator-Standard-Navigation-3DX-700028/dp/B000LB7G00/ref=pd_cp_e_1
which I think has more functionality than the griffin powermate, though I think it's more aimed at 3D modelling/CAD
